Sewing Squad – a sewing group for 7-14 year olds
Do you know a child who would like to learn to sew? Then our ‘Sewing Squad’ might just be the right club for them!
- Children will learn to use a sewing machine, as well as a wide range of other sewing skills and techniques.
- ‘Sewing Squad’ members will learn how to upcycle and recycle unwanted clothing and other textiles to make new and useful items – this will be an important life skill for their future.
- Sessions and projects will be planned to reflect the age, interests, and ideas of ‘Sewing Squad’ members.
Karron is a qualified teacher and adapts sessions to suit the age and ability of individual children. Children will learn how to use equipment safely as part of the session. There is no pressure, and children will be given lots of support and encouragement to develop their confidence and skills.
All sessions take place on Wednesdays between 4pm – 5.30pm. Places are limited and must be booked in advance – please contact us at hello@craftykitz.co.uk. for more information, and to find out if there are places available.
